In 2016, Trump won MI, PA, and WI—and as a result, the Electoral College—by less than 78,000 votes.
In 2020, Biden won AZ, GA, and WI—and thus the EC—by less than 45,000 votes.

Out of roughly 153 million votes cast in this election, the presidency was decided by 230k across the three states of Wisconsin (30k), Michigan (80k) and Pennsylvania (120k). That's 00.15%.
This remains an extremely closely divided nation. Any agenda viewed as extreme is likely to face backlash.

I want to know why there was a boost in Latin support, which I cannot explain with simple Russian interference.
Also how the fuck did he win Texas by 13?
Also, the Electoral College is an anachronism and needs to go.
They think it is all a great big joke and they are 'owning the libs'.
More people, 68%, eligible to vote 𝙙𝙞𝙙 *𝙣𝙤𝙩* 𝙫𝙤𝙩𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙢𝙥.
When put in perspective it makes the next 4 years easier to bear as we work together to preserve the democratic republic Founding Fathers laid the foundations for in creating USofA.

Push back, push back, push back!
Fixed that for you
This engenders cooperation across the aisle, more moderate policies and candidates more palatable to everyone.
So there are not going to be free and fair elections anymore.

2) mandatory retirement age for elected roles: 72.
3) no lifetime appointments to SCOTUS; 10 year terms with possible 1-5 year extension by straight up unanimous Senate vote
4) if you're a convicted felon, you can't run for anything
5) I haven't figured out the rest
Even though Trump still would have won this term overall it is BS.
Didn’t know if I wanted to cry or laugh. Decided to laugh instead.
Just like we didn’t get any of his trials.
The electorate was misinformed
WI (15K), MI (41K), and PA (73K).
If the difference is 30K, only 15K+1 votes have to be flipped to change the winner.
Imagine getting 63 Trump voters in a room...don't you think it would be pretty easy to flip one of them...if not five?
This was close.
Ooooh! A "backlash" you say??
Sorry, but Trump rules the GOP, and thus all branches of gov't. He THINKS he won by a landslide/has a mandate and he THRIVES on "backlash"
Sorry but I'm feeling cynical this morning
@ianbassin.bsky.social
Donnie wins by about 2.5 million = overwhelming mandate
The center right wing democrats have such a mediocre hill to climb.
Meanwhile the workers and families of America have no representation.
No one can tell polsters what trump’s economic policies were or what he was proposing now.
They chose to 1) ignore the failures of Trump & normalize him, and 2) criticize Kamala & ignore the Biden Administration’s successes.
The Media failed The People.

He’s already overreaching with his cabinet picks.

Goal is to represent all Americans. Urban and rural have many priority differences,, and many the same.
Red mandate indeed
This is why there will be no vote , or at least a legitimate vote in 2028
Maybe even by 2026 when their flawed policies are visible
Trump barely scraped by with the presidency with PA, MI, and WI in 2016. Biden won it running away with states he didn't even need like Georgia and Arizona. Trump was crushed
