I was sitting here trying to do the math on it without resorting to Wikipedia because I was a child during the Iran-Contra hearings and the Gulf War and so have trouble identifying when exactly he switched jobs.
(I was a weird kid in part because the adults didn't change the channel on my account.)
English is a difficult language to master...As clearly demonstrated here....
Better luck next time WSJ....
( With hiring of Journalists who have at least a basic grasp of English grammar )
I believe the power to do that is with state bars and/or state Supreme courts. But that's a quibble; you are correct that every lawyer helping trump risks disbarment, which is why it's hard for him to find competent representation.
Correct, while they do publish model rules of professional conduct that state and federal bars adopt to a greater or lesser extent, the ABA plays no role in licensing or disciplining attorneys. That falls to the various state and federal bars. But your comment is absolutely valid toward them.
There are many things about the legal profession that I personally find indefensible- and sometimes post about - but this is at least a step in the right direction by the ABA.
Maybe if they spoke out more often the public would hold the profession in higher esteem.
They’re an inherently conservative organization (not in the political sense) and members, individual and institutional, represent a wide range of social and political perspectives - so they don’t want to take sides.
Lieutenant General Dan Caine’s highest traditional command was over a maintenance group, focuses on aircraft readiness logistics not operational combat leadership. Lacking commanding wings, numbered Air Forces, or joint combatant commands questions about his qualifications for Joint Chiefs Chairman.
This will mark the end. Courts are irrelevant, politicians are irrelevant. The last stop gap was the Military refusing illegal orders. Full stop. It's done.
You’re right. A fucking ignorant moron wrote it because the fucking ignorant moron is trying to win the coveted “Fucking Ignorant Moron of the Month (FIMM)” award.
Settle Down Conway.😃😃 After telling you off every time your x wife opened her mouth. But she’s gone now. You got me reading your posts. And I need you healthy & sane in this fight. Getting that upset about an error in an article is a waste of needed energy. 😉🙏
Neither, I suspect. It’s probably the result of carelessness as they rushed to post breaking news. The fact that the mistake remained online for a while was probably the result of having too few journalists in the newsroom at night, so nobody spotted the error. Newspapers are severely understaffed!
Air Force Lt. Gen. Dan "Razin" Caine, USAF--a 3-Star General--will get his 4th Star (making him the JUNIOR 4-Star in the military)--then will be made the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff--the MOST SENIOR MILITARY OFFICER?!
Just, "BEGIN NOW", as USMC DIs say, to count who's Not gonna like that!
I stand before you now as defender of the humble comma... Orphan or Oxford... Berated ,subject to abuse and ridicule through no fault of its own...
English is a difficult language to master..
Journalists who managed that Herculean task can be found everywhere...
THIS man said he would KILL for Trump and put on a MAGA hat while still in uniform. Racism is only the perk. This is a military coup waiting in the wings.
This man worked his ass off and probably put up with so much racist shit to get where is and this soulless devil just fires him w/o a thought of what he has gone through. This is what happens when good people enable bad things to happen💔🙏🏽💔
To all those Black folk who turned & voted for trump - how y'all like trump now, especially as he proclaimed, "I did more for blacks than any other potus" & has dumped our Black military leaders - just because! The con-artist, convicted felon would rather see y'all down & out!

Pretty sure they were refusing to read the AP style guide. Or Strunk & White.
Or a dictionary.
Maybe they had Meta write the sub and used Google to proof it.
So now he's out to privatise the military for his benefit and appoints a civilian to the highest military role in the Department of Defence. How will the troops see that move?
Is Stormin' Norman still around because if he isn't his ghost is currently sifting through footage of bombs going down air con vents and probably thinking, I wish....
Well, you're describing a democratic republic; a handful of people voted into office to control the country. But when the wrong people get voted in... Oh boy, let the good times roll.
The U.S. Reich is building its new SS. Trump just fired General CQ Brown (first Black Joint Chiefs Chair) & Admiral Franchetti (first woman Navy chief). The purge is here. An all-white, all-male military is the goal. If you’re not alarmed, you’re not paying attention.
The lead-in should be the hook. Make people wonder why and read on. If an article simply said that this important person with qualifications and significant experience for the job had been fired, it might have more impact. Don't give the 'minority' game away before people start to think about 'why'
My guess: One who's
- quite a bit younger than I am
- only associates him with the title "Secretary of State" and
- hasn't figured out that journalists should research what they write and make sure it's actually correct before they publish it.
Standards in journalism have been dropping for a while.
I remember, a long time ago, when WSJ was a good, real newspaper, before the poisonous Aussie swamp snake bought it. If you want to go after bad immigrants, I can offer one particular Aussie, and a South Afican. Real garbage.

Execute Trumps coup and not Defending the constitution?
Maybe if they spoke out more often the public would hold the profession in higher esteem.
But they did recently put this out:

It’s just decent humans who see the evil.
check back in three years
"black" will seem quaint
This is appalling.

First cousin,twice removed,of the 'Oxford comma '
Never in the field of human conflict has an ink smudge caused so much grief
English is a difficult language to master..
Journalists who managed that Herculean task can be found everywhere...
Except in the American News industry
👏🏽👏🏽🇨🇦
That's different.
Oh gassing your own people isn’t okay either
faster than kudzu in the South after rainy July.
Would you?
…. On second thought, it likely takes a human to make so many — and such varied — mistakes.
who else but a murdoch cock sucker!
Kind of like Trump's cabinet.
