I told my son this morning that he doesn't have to pledge allegiance to the flag at school anymore since his country no longer recognizes him. He plans on just standing there with his hand on his heart and not saying anything so he doesn't draw attention. This feels like a movie more than life.

No. Counseling does not do anything for changing the way your body has been built based on the genetics and genetic alterations you have been given at birth.
If you will begin to study hormone disrupting chemicals, you will begin to know.

You mean conversion therapy? Also, 120 therapy sessions (about 2 years of therapy weekly) would add up to about the price of typical surgeries, not very cost effective if someone needs tons of therapy just to not kill themselves.
