True story: 14 years ago I wrote one of the letters of recommendation Guillermo needed to get a visa so he could live and work in this country. And now here he is congratulating the party of mass deportations. What the fuck, Guillermo. What the fuck.

Best of luck to all the immigrants working at Vercel. Tough choices for them to make ahead :(
As the worm turns
JS circles for some time. Like Diddy, probably better everyone just knows now.
I'm Latino because geographically I'm from Latino America, but that's it
And if you google latino jargon it will show Mexican expressions
And for latino music that's reggaeton, probably the only not Mexican, yet from near countries
I talked with people from almost all Latino American and in many cases I couldn't understand their jargon
The far away is each country the more different we talk
Did you got images of an asad? pizza? pasta? milanesas? This is what I get from Google, and compare with searching for "Argentina food"
But from the Argentinian I met in other countries since I left Argentina myself, we keep trying to eat our food, listen our music, and in general do our things
Not all of course
Guillermo is an immigrant. Guillermo thinks other immigrants deserve to be rounded up and put in concentration camps.
Guillermo is a fucking dick. Don't be like Guillermo.
But to specifically call out the fragmented media landscape and channels of misinformation, red-pilling and radicalization that fostered this outcome is just despicable. Disqualifying.
It was all I could do not to ask him how he felt about being deported, but the naïveté & hypocrisy are truly infuriating
he's a legal immigrant?
the mass deportations are for illegal immigrants?
why should a legal one care at all about illegal ones?
seems like he cares more about other policies/ideas..
did that person always have those resources or did they work hard to get them?
should everyone who doesn't have the resources just move into other countries illegally?
just responding to claims/assumptions of privilage.
not having resources is not a green light to immigrate illegally.
is this person guaranteed to be part of the next president's team?
can you point to what they said/wrote exactly?
doesn't the government have various mechanism or laws in place to stop this?
is it all immigrants or just some of them?
how can you describe those various legal ones? do they have something in common or is it all just random?
aren't there mechanisms and laws in place to stop this?
Aside from that there are various programs that provide legal status to noncitizens that could be discontinued or severely cut

who are they for other than illegal immigrants?
is it all legal immigrants or some? do they have something in common or is it all random?
doesn't the government have mechanisms or laws in place to stop that?
is deportation = death or just changing one's scenery?
Some just pull the ladder up.
At the same time almost all Tech CEO's out there instantly congratulated and talked about how they are happy to work with Trump in the future. So maybe this is "just" CEO 101. (I wish so)
I'm so confused by these folks who do this stuff I don't get it.
I'm sorry that you had to witness this, Laurie, it must sting terribly. :(

Hypocrite he was, the visa was easier during Obama's presidency. Probably during Trump's presidency he would be invited to come back to Latam
p.s. I also got here in 2014 on a visa and it was a lot of work 🫠
It doesn't matter how hard it is, it pales in comparison to what those who can't have to endure, even years (or life) after they manage to get into the country.
There is nothing to be proud of doing it legally.
Good fit for America.
Non of them are criminals, they are all hard working people, loving parents and relatives, trying to escape the shitty life they used to have.
They just weren't wealthy, educated, or white enough to get a visa.
America destroy their countries' resources and economy, then label them as criminals when they try to escape the conditions they were forced to endure.
Very convenient.
You're just privileged to have better opportunities 🤷♂️
And so many of us are so willing to do just that. Disgraceful.
