Lucky to have met Holocaust survivors & WW2 VETS.
Even educated people have little historical knowledge.
Schools had bomb shelters.
My prof was in the situation room during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Scary stuff
But they have Holocaust deniers on Social Media.

When I was in school, I think we covered more on US History than we did anything else.
There are thousands of years before the US became a thing. We barely got to cover WW2 and I think that really should have been taught, given.. uh you saw
This is only true if you lack the crazy to go against convention and say listen up we are all going to heaven Tomorrow!!! Thank you for that. This is part of my life. I studied political sciences and history, my parents told me everything about the time in Nazi Germany, I always tried to be a good democrat, and now I am confronted with my biggest nightmare.
This is my story also. I was born in 1952. I thankfully arrived to late to experience the war, but not my parents direct memories thereof. I admit, I was too optimistic and did not think I would be fighting this again at my age.

During Hitler's rise to power, young Germans, a group called the White Rose, students who opposed him, passed out leaflets, handbills that mentioned his violent deeds. Nazi's arrested these brave students and executed them.

This is why we need more subject matter experts who either minor in communications in college or practice conveying their knowledge as part of their ethic.
I’d be okay if only the Donnie’s voting GOP had to suffer thru it…but all the (innocent children, and) people fighting GOP, tooth and nail, shouldn’t have to suffer, too.
