Since ARKANSAS Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders is who came to help push Gov. Lee’s voucher scam — let’s see how things are going with their program… 🤔 https://arktimes.com/arkansas-blog/2025/04/10/lawmakers-try-to-tighten-rules-after-most-homeschool-voucher-funds-went-toward-non-academic-expenses

No critical thinking.
No science.
Vouchers have always been - how would Don Corleone-Trump put it? - a scam.
"Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!"
This is a horrible situation all around, and I don't know what the answer is, but I do know that banning homeschooling isn't it.
Drunken fool.
Like moonshine, Copenhagen and ammo?
No…not one fucking iota!
Mon dieu.

I am no fan of the voucher system, but music, art, sports/PE, etc are all classes in most public schools.
Sounds like enforcing these policies could get expensive.. perhaps we should pool the funds and give kids all the same access...
Open theft

All aboard the Fruit Loops, beer, and soap opera train.
I could have just gone around acting like an asshole with no sense whatsoever and been rewarded richly for it.
If you require students to commit to a conclusion regardless of the evidence, you're not teaching them to think critically. You're teaching them to obey.
"If you can come up with one solution to all problem, then why bother looking for other solutions?"
Psychologists found that children brought up in religion are less able to distinguish fantasy from reality, and are more susceptible to OTHER forms of indoctrination.
Explains MAGA quite well, I think.
I certainly don't believe in God now, and looking back I still wouldn't trade away my education.
I'm not gonna say homeschool evangelicals are getting this right, but my experience at private religious schools doesn't line up w/ your claim.
I had Muslim and Jewish classmates throughout elementary and high school. No one was forced to pray. 1/
In HS, we were taught to read the Bible critically, and there was a class on the gospel of John, taught by a Marist brother, that explored the resurrection as a simple mundane trick.
His school is very punitive when it comes to questioning the validity of really any aspect of the bible.
They said it made everything harder as a kid. Harder to learn, harder to socialize, harder to just be a kid.
My son is autistic w/severe ADHD and the school system has actively fought against me in getting him help in school, and he's punished for being neurodivergent.
I've been refused IEP's and any other help for him.
I'm working w/
When my daughter heard I was homeschooling him, she begged to be homeschooled, too.
She's 13, but very aware of what's happening and is upset that her teachers are MAGAts and sing 45's praises every day.
We are secular, and
Homeschool has gotten a bad rap because of the overly religious and how they present homeschooling to the world.
Pls don't assume that just because kids are
Some of us choose to homeschool rather than have them indoctrinated into MAGA by way of public schools.

A blue dot buried in red Tennessee.
She's a wealthy republican. These people, including her, are fucking scum. They'd disenfranch every child on earth if it meant they got a few extra grand.
(We're in Arizona)
P.S. Homeschooling, in general, is not a good idea. That’s NOT just me!
Nope
In the meantime, good luck with teaching all 3 sciences, math and the humanities at the upper grades.
Who could have possibly predicted this would be the result?
Answer: Everyone with a brain
Chemistry too.
Hands-on learning certainly has its uses but only when coupled with structured educational lessons.
Otherwise all parents might be doing is building memories without the understanding part.
Plus some parents want their kids at home for the cheap labor, be it for a farm, family business, or MLM scam.
But a lot of homeschool parents seem to think it impossible to instill their values in their kids if they have any competition.
That money is for their children's education; room and board should be covered by other means (higher parental pay or government childcare assistance).
They're trading their older children's futures in exchange for free childcare, which should be subsidized or free from the government.
Also as bad as the ppl who abused the PPP loans. Its fraud
No one defrauded those voucher recipients, they just cheated their own kids.
And those PPP loans were always meant as a handout to capital; fraud was intentional

TEN THOUSAND DOLLAR PODIUMS FOR SALE!!!
And they expect public schools to them work miracles and close the gaps created by the lack of teaching through homeschooling that was never done by those not taking it seriously.
