Funny because every time she calls me without a pre-emptive text, I’m convinced someone has died. But no, it’s because she is driving and knows how to dial by voice but not text by voice 😂😭
I can't unhear it, almost that deranged level of screeching mom voice but like I can imagine them talking to me about non-sense irrelevant topics like a brain fart from Joe rogan "Bear, you know, chimpanzees are just really strong tiny humans" I hope I'm that detached when Im older. Lol torturous.
My brother and I teased our mom so much about her unintentionally hilarious VMs that I can hear her struggle in them now to not say something I can make fun of her for later. 😭
I saved all mine from my mother on my phone.. when she passed I could still hear her voice.Then the phones battery went nucler and they were lost forever. Loved my mother even if she was a bit wild.
Wish my mom had left me long voicemails. I have a vhs tape of her giving a speech and the memory of her answering machine message. Nothing else of her voice.
I didn't save my mom's voicemails but have a lot of voice messages on Whatsapp that I treasure so much now that she's gone. On days when I miss her the most, it makes me happy to be able to hear her voice again. Save all the memories you can, one day you'll be happy you did.
My 30-year old son has never activated his voice mail and it drives me nuts. You can read the transcript, you don’t have to listen. Half the time my texts go unanswered as well. Maybe its just him, IDK
Listen, some day you’ll miss your mom more than you know. I’m blessed at I never delete emails, and I have a trove. A day will come when you’d pay good money for these podcasts.

Mom, that's by design.
That means anytime my mum/dad calls me (or vise versa) we assume something is horribly wrong, so now we start with “Hey X its me, everything is fine”

I've always thought we should take each other's mothers out on Mother's Day because we can stand anyone else's mom for 90 minutes other than our own.
Would pairing those two services make it more attractive?!? Just brainstormin' here . . .!
