I think that the EU need to put in place a mechanism that could be used to boot problematic members out.
They have a pipeline of countries desperate to join. They don't need the aggravation of rabble-rousers like Hungary.
The mere existence of such a mechanism might have a stabilisation effect.

On the other a few years ago I’d have been pleased to see Poland go too… then Tusk came.
Maybe a sin bin where you stay a member but without voting rights until members relent?
