Clueless opinion piece by Starmer in the Times today.
He thinks the public are angry with the Tories. And they are. They're furious. But they're raging at Labour too.
Labour lost 2/3 of their councillors on Thursday.
He's learned nothing.

As is denial.
Traditional Lab supporters simply won’t vote for a right wing Lab party betraying basic Lab values & following culture wars….🤮
(not a school kid any more!)
It feels like a lot of people are angry at Labour based on expectations rather than manifesto pledges?
When will the real Labour politicians say "enough"?
They must see that they are all toast if McSweeney pushes them off this cliff.
Or are they lining their pockets too?
It's a government for London and that's it.
Rest of the UK lacks investment and people's pockets have been hit in a way that they can't influence. Pensioners feel like they've been robbed. Disabled and parents fear for the future. This is not Labour
The Orwellian BBC for decades has promoted Farage despite his *eight* electoral defeats.
There's a reason Orwell based Big Brother on the BBC.
It is much more anger inducing when Labour are doing what we expect Tories to do.
#Starmer is totally hopeless and refuses to embrace PR etc etc etc. He will enable Farage.
They should never have been in the Tories in the first place.
They can't hide their nasty side now.
Everyone can see and name them now.
Not for me as long as my arse points downwards
Just keeping things in perspective.
Had there been twice as many councillorships up for grabs on Thursday, it doesn't take any imagination at all to suggest that Reform might have won twice as many as they did.

It’s for lawyers to challenge it and I understand that is happening.
Promising to deliver but also doing the opposite of delivering.
1) dismissed the Tories. They are gone. Irrelevant
2) become furious with Labour for not showing clear water between them and the Tories.
3) Enabled the racists and crazies to make Reform relevant
Labour, with bold moves, can put them all to bed if they CARPE DIEM
To throw away a huge majority by trying to outflank Reform will be seen as grossly negligent.
How long before Labour get rid of him ?
Maybe they won't, in which case Labour will go the same way as the Tories.
Perhaps that's what is required, obliteration of both main parties.
These elections are fairly awful for both main parties and clearly Reform (799) will be cockahoop but to herald it as the demise of the National Government is somewhat premature.
