Some of you seem disconnected from what happens in cities across cities during the summer. Teens with no jobs or programming are sitting ducks in the mini fortresses that most of our cities are where they are harassed by cops REGULARLY for being outside.

That is a story that has never resulted in a good end.
How do folks expect to keep kids off screens or out of trouble if they don’t have places to go or things to do?
All shops are clothing and housewares.
Teens & elders, kicked to the curb by the Taylorized endstage capitalist society.
Parents with young children? Good luck. Disabled? Nope.
The consequence of the emphasis on individualism, imo, and the destruction of the ability to create and maintain community.

Sincere questions. I followed you for years on dead bird, so I know you know a lot about it. So much is overwhelming. People need small local tasks.
If they start targetting the white children of wealthy parents, there will absolutely be pushback.
But as long as they target the marginalised and those unconnected to power, there's nothing forcing a change.
Cops have been harrassing kids for decades.
Hopefully there will be people willing to volunteer for this- to escort teens to parks & malls etc. I hate what’s happening and hope we can find ways to find ways for kids to feel social connection & develop support network, rather than the other not constructive things
Parties at their friends’ homes
And because I'm autistic, people might think I'm suspicious
Malls, skating rinks, arcades, bowling alleys, public pools, libraries, parks, etc. Had that all available to me until age 12.
Moving away from that, to a very rural area, was such a blow and now back home those places just don't exist. It is terrible.
