draw first. Learn how after. You should draw for fun. The idea that everything needs to be good before you can enjoy it is comparison-brain. When you were a kid, you just enjoyed drawing for its own sake. Find that again.
Someone as devoid of artistic talent as I prefers to consume the artistic creation of others possessing that vision and talent. I am in AWE of YOU ALL.

I agree so much with your statement. Creativity isn’t inherent - it’s something cultivated, practiced, shaped, nurtured, persevered through, and cared for.
Talent does exist, but it exists as a subtle interplay between what people enjoy doing and what comes easily to them, which tends to shape where people put most of their effort. But it only tends to, and in the end persistence and effort will win out over any amount of talent
Talent or natural aptitude is more important in competitive fields like sports, where objective performance is measured and compared.
The highest achievement requires extreme effort *and* unique physiology.
See Michael Phelps, Usain Bolt, Eero Mäntiranya, and Priscilla Lopes-Schliep for examples.
The problem with talent is that yes, it exists, but not to the degree people like to pretend it is. When someone says "you're so talented," I always feel there's an element of wishful thinking there. "You got this far based on natural aptitude, because if this was all hard work, what's *my* excuse?"
Depending on the creative field, sure, natural aptitude will have an impact but scratch the surface on most ‘talented’ people and you will find years of quiet dedication.
To be honest, talent is as much a trap as it is a blessing; if it is discovered and cultivated, and disciplined, it can carry someone very far indeed, but it can just as easily result in indolence and eventually falling behind. I learned this lesson by direct personal experience, over a long time.
How? No seriously I don't see the value in making something that's shit. It's like there's no real point in it if the result is the exact same as if you didn't do anything.
But the result is NOT the exact same. You've become a better artist. Someone else might find value in it. The problem is that you see "bad thing" and think that's the end of it.
EVERY ARTIST EVER started by making bad art.
bad art is QUINTESSENTIAL.
Didn’t mean to start an argument. Simply meant to express my sincerest gratitude to all of those disciplined enough to create astonishing beauty in a world that so sorely needs it.
I wish you all✌️❤️😊.
ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY! We, all of us, have a creative side to us. It is a joyful activity to express oneself creatively. “Grown-ups” need to “play” too. ❤️
I thought the hole in the world was a great black pit and the vermin of the world inhabit it and it's morals aren't worth what a pig would spit and it goes by the name of London... 🤷🏻♀️
It's funny 'cause I DO make art, it's just that no one clicks on it. It's the void I send it into, the gaping emptiness of the internet. That's where the hole is.
Not a fan of the concept of the art-shaped hole. Art is a living thing.
We should be more like shepards or gardeners tending and caring for art as it grows. Or weavers weaving together myriad concepts together to fix where the fabric has torn.
Cool! Hmmm there's got to be something there with the double meaning of "Watch" and "Sonic" or timing or speed.. I'm sure you've thought of them all, but, "Sonic Watch" "Speed Watch" "Stop Watch" "Yo-Kai Tails" "Yo-Kai Spin" "Dash Watch" "Yo-kai Dash!" "Sonic Spirits" "Speed Spirits" "Speed Demons"🤷♂️

The art I’m making now is even better and celebrates 🌎

To say there was a hole already there seems off.
to the absence
to stare into the scoured abyss
where tears have no power
and say
I have nothing for you now
and swallow the silence
for the soundless voice to say
no
not yet
you still have this
and your eyes open
THE AUDACITY!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS BEING RIGHT!!!!!
goddammit
now I gotta make art
I hate you, Milkman Dan
