The official US position is now that Russia deserves to get something for its aggression, and Ukraine should concede its negotiating position in advance rather than start high—a "high" that's simply in line with international law, BTW—and be willing to negotiate down in exchange for concessions.

Hegseth: "We must start by recognizing that returning to Ukraine's pre-2014 borders is an unrealistic objective ... the US does not believe that NATO membership for Ukraine is a realistic outcome of a negotiated settlement."

This is where isolationism leads to: irrelevance
Kill USAID? Irrelevance in Africa
Stop supporting Ukraine? Irrelevance at the negotiations
Because no one needs you
Courtesy of tech bros doge and Elon and republicans who clearly just hate humanity and love money more
How is this fair ?
This is so gross.
Trump then deserves to get something for its aggression.
The threat to Gaza, Greenland, Canada and Panama is real.
Traitor Trump also thought Iraq should give us their oil after our illegal invasion by Dubya. You know, to cover expenses incurred for our illegal invasion.
They have enough to ensure air superiority now. It's over.
Perfidious liars whose promises are worthless and whose greed is insatiable.
Then Europe continues to help Ukraine.
Then Trump and fElon both look like assholes when Russia collapses.
Long live the autonomy of Ukraine.
Part of me wonders if this is not a precursor to us trying to do something militarily over Greenland and then try to use the same argument.
But seriously these people are all compromised. It’s not just incompetence.
What a wimp.
That seems like a total and utter and complete and indisputable winner.
And people doubted Pete Hegseth. Well, who's laughing now?
And in the case of Ukraine, Russia is the violent bully, so that's what appeals to the people now leading the United States.
