before regularly arming yourself, make sure you understand the self defence laws. be intimately familiar with things like "stand your ground" and "duty to retreat". check your state's concealed carry laws. everything varies highly by state.
That whole open carry and what not disappeared real fucking quick when Reagan signed the Mulford Act in CA in 1968 in response to the Black Panther Party exercising their 2A rights to open carry in their neighborhoods.
Been saying this for awhile now. They aren't coming with tanks and f22s. It will be with a bunch if nazi rednecks. Arm yourself and protect each other.
I remember trying to advocate armed self-defense to my leftist friends on FB like 10 years ago and getting blocked or harassed as a gun nut. I wonder what those people would say now.
I remember commenting someone should arm themselves and get trianing because they had a pretty dangerous stalker, someone *probably European* said something like " typical American, their first reaction is to get violent and kill people." I'm like ma'am they are trying to murder us.
personally i don't get out to the range as much as i'd like but i still have been doing dry fire practice at home every day for the past few months. if anyone else is in a similar situation don't forget there are ways to practice at home
depends on the gun. the "special rounds" you're referring to are known as "snap caps." some guns, like my glock, don't really need snap caps for dry firing. others are more prone to being damaged if you fire them without a snap cap, especially guns that use rimfire cartridges
you can find a surprising amount of advice online just by searching "dry fire practice [name of your gun]" and youtube is also a great resource. even if some of the channels can be a bit fashy, not all of them are like that and even the fashy ones can still have solid gun advice
also if you've already done the first step of arming yourself but are struggling with the rest, it helps to simply invite friends to go shooting. a lot of friends who were kind of on the fence about gun ownership at the time got on board after i invited them to the range with me
There are leftists gun clubs, you have to search them out though. We have a John Brown Gun Club in the Puget sound area, I’m not sure if they’re national or not though. There’s also the Redneck Revolt which I think operates in the Midwest/South area.
That's partly why I'm a desert shooter, I want to do my shooting with just my friends, targets, and sometimes fun things that ranges would never allow.
Just always pick up your trash and don't fucking shoot the trees/cactus!
This one is fair. That whole group is fucking derranged last I remember reading into it. Overt ties to Wignat Milita orgs, with funding (incoming and outgoing) also going to the same groups. Some "Cop Gear to Would Be Terrorist" shit.
Yes, if this is the only place you have local it's not great.
I also boxing, while a little harder to get others involved, is a great thing to pick up. Not only do you get some exercise, but knowing how to punch is important. Also, knowing how to take a punch is great for your confidence.
I've been considering applying for a LCF in Pennsylvania and getting myself a handgun at the least. Always been resistant to it, but really feels like I can't afford to not be protecting myself and my community anymore
This reminds me of a battle the Fourth Red Army fought near the town of Dabodi/Dabaidi in the Chinese Civil War/Revolution in 1929 after escaping being surrounded by the KMT on the Jinggang mountains.
Comments
guns don't really protect us from institutional violence (police, laws, etc)
guns protect us from *extrajudicial* violence (bullies, randos on the street, etc)
Getting anything for self-defence here is a pain
But no, haven't had murican ribs xd
Even more so when that progressive isn’t White.

If you want a handgun license, go for your conceal and carry as it usually covers the handgun license directly.
