If Xenoblade X does well then Square/Namco have to do something with their Xeno games right? I would love for new fans to discover Xenogears and Xenosaga. This image alone sets the tone of what awaits in Xenogears.

it's just so weird to me that both Square and Namco are so happy to bring back the Gears and Saga characters in crossovers but there are children who can vote born before these games have got rereleases, let alone remakes, in any form.
If I was Square/Namco, I'd just sign off on Monolith to do it
I strongly believe that full remakes of Xenosaga are in the works, just that Xenoblade X and Monolith Soft’s new IP for Switch 2 are taking priority.
You can hardly bet on Square Enix but seeing how desperate they are for the Switch 2 to release it might be something they give the green light to.
Xenosaga I would love to see on modern hardware since they're still stuck on the PS2 (Episode 3 costing a kidney).
Xenogears is *at least* still on the PS3 store but I definitely also want to see it on modern hardware too.
I played it years after discovering Xenoblade (in 2023 right before Future Redeemed), and it was some kind of awakening for me. I'm still fascinated by the entire experience.
I love this opening so much. What's going on? What does it actually have to do with the story? Who knows! You certainly won't through most of the games. But damn if it didn't suck me in every time. https://youtu.be/h-49jLrZGug?si=-i37AkGkRVny2Zhl
I love this opening. Still so beautifully animated. It really does have that sense of mystery as it seemingly has nothing to do with the game........until it does.
Question is, would Xenosaga and Xenogears be Multiplatform or Nintendo exclusive? I suppose it depends on what developers they get to remaster the existing entries?
Maybe if Nintendo are the ones that fund it on behalf of Monolith Soft, who still vey obviously cares about KOS-MOS and Xenosaga, it'll be Nintendo only
If Namco decides to fund it themselves, it'll be multiplatform probably.
That's what I intended to say, but my wording might've been imprecise.
ie: if Namco is funding it, presumably they're having an internal team working on it or are outsourcing it themselves with no involvement from Nintendo or Monolith Soft.

Also Reynn holding off Lann from breaking copyrights... peak 🤌
And the same for Bamco with Saga but they've shown they're been willing the play. After FR I get the feeling its just a matter of time

Gears isn't without its faults, but it's such a special game.
Big 'oh' moment.

Same with Bamco. Xenosaga is so unique and ambitious so it's a shame to see it seemingly doomed to obscurity. The trilogy is more than just KOS-MOS.
