Misleading. It is an opinion piece, but it not by the editorial board. The NYT has had many articles about birthright citizenship that have run counter to this.

Bash the real right wing media. If NYT is diminished we will lose a lot of great news articles that expose Trump daily.

If the NYT decided to run a clearly mendacious op-ed arguing "it's always okay to viciously assault Frank D. Russo and steal all his stuff" you might realize it's not only fair to criticize the op-ed's writer but also it's fair, and even important, to criticize everyone involved in publishing it.

I stand by what I wrote and also for your right to disagree. I disagree with the opinion piece. I am more upset with the decision of the editorial board not to endorse Harris. I would not have run the piece in question but I think there is a danger in saying this is what you expect from the NYT.

Hey, we don't know each other. I've represented those coming across the border and charged with the crime of trying to feed their families--without charge. I've had death threats from right wing people. I probably don't have the same skin in the game that you do with threats to your daughter.
