The stock market has tumbled today. Why? Because the jobs report was strong, with over 250,000 jobs added. (So investors are worried that interest rates will remain high.)
It illustrates that the interests of investors and working people are often very different.

It still all sounds evil.
But the market is betting on what happens in the future.
Looks like those running Wall Street have lost sight of the big picture.
EG, workers w/ 401(k)s are investors. And the > they earn (up to the cap), the > $ that flows into SSA + the stock market via their retirement accounts.
So in a sense, this negative reaction is somewhat contradictory. SSA is > solvent & investment firms get > $.
Employees are nothing more than cells on a spreadsheet.
So, yup.
It's nice to know my gut is dialed in to what's what.
It's manipulated gambling for the very rich at the expense of everyone else.
Everything is just getting fuck, trump isn't yet on seat and this errors already happening.
The US market is not wall street
I always thought that the last 4 years were not about a "soft landing" but more of a "controlled launch."
Fact!
I think it's more likely that the market knows what a sh-t show is coming in ten days.
time to cash out.
I think that’s important to remember as the bird flu cases increase and Convicted Felon 47 is coming back to burn our country down again.
very different = worlds apart
*Great News: Once Trump and his DOGE Cronies fuck up the awesome US Economy Joe Biden Built, the bailout money and super-low interest rates will be back to save us from total destruction. Mark it 8, dude:
If MAGA can do it, so can I.
“billionaires”.
The Fed can lower rates, but the Banks don't have to lower their rates in unison (just more of a profit for lenders)
Over the last couple of weeks, home mortgage rates have continued to climb.
Puts all of us in a situation where either our job prospects or retirement accounts look good, but usually not both simultaneously.
That means lots of people looking for jobs
That means lots of people competing for the same job.
That means the person willing to work for the least, gets the job.
That means Wall Street saves labor costs.
That means Wall Street happy.
"The market goes up, then it goes down. Then it goes up."
It's really not that complicated.
😂😂😂
The American dollar is not as strong as they pretend it is.
Investors compete with workers.
The irony is that many workers are (or would like to be) also investors, indirectly, through their pension & insurance funds.
Sickening.
No matter how much shareholders make, it's the jobs from company growth that the people want.
I really can't make sense of it
That is also an opportunity when you have more money than you can spend.
It should be illegale
The poors got power, if they choose to wield it.
It may be taking into account the potential anti-growth chaos of a Trump presidency: threatening to militarily take land from allies; implement vast tariffs; deport a huge portion of the workforce!

Hmmm, could it be…. Satan & the Republicans?
MAGAs are brainwashed & spoon fed lies & won’t ever understand.
