I think trump only ever sees the short term effect. And short term, there may be some financial gain for corporations, especially those who can compete with foreign goods rather than having to sell them. But long term, the market will fade as consumers are tapped out. It’s a lose-lose for everyone.

I’m having a really hard time seeing the upside to Trump tariffs and the economy as a whole. Inflation is about to rise again, government firings which will reverberate through the country, manufacturing will not come back and even if it did, costs of making widgets here would be more expensive.

Gosh, I don't know, but I think Canada's turn to nationalism is likely the reaction other countries will have to this stuff.

Grassley's legislation give DJT a 60 day window. I don't think the Rs can hold out that long. The impact will only build until then.
