Finally watched Solo Leveling.
It's everything I wanted SAO to be.
Rad as hell.

Solo Leveling does scratch a similar itch tbf, but it's fun for a different reason for me.
...and all the following seasons after that.
Don't forget solo leveling Ragnarok the sequel
That's what the image feels like
Anime right? Guy wakes up in a fantasy world and kicks the shit out of things to level up?
Sounds good, I think I've still got a crunchy roll subscription rolling about my wallet
If I had a hat and this was real I'd tip it. It isn't and I don't have one so oh well
Solo Leveling comes from a Korean light novel, then got adapted to a Manwha (Korean like manga).
Funny enough, it's really common nowadays this format that is presented in Solo Leveling (the Earth is attacked by monsters and some people awake)
instead of the player being transported to the game, the game was transported to the player
There is very limited romance element as well.
Very pure power fantasy.
Not sure about the animated version.
For Solo Leveling (manga), there is only two female characters that have meaningful personal interactions with protagonist (plus his mom and sis).
On this front, Solo Leveling is way healthier on this front (but much less so on the violence front😂).
Check it out, it was the first series to do the isekia inside of a video game world.
I’d add “Returner’s Magic Must Be Special” as well.
But why even compare it to SAO?.. They are just so completely different 😅 (Love SAO too, btw 😇)
as someone who read the original webcomic years ago, it's genuinely such an insanely cool series, just takes a while to ramp up
but if you like the start, it's only upwards from here!
(Ice Elf missing his head).
Best scene ever.
😂😂😂😂
Did not disappoint.
And a someone who loves SAO, I'll check it out. Thanks! "Solo Leveling"
It just keeps ramping up.
The first two episodes grabbed me so hard I sat down and read the manga in a day. I've never done that before, and I doubt I ever will again. It was truly phenomenal.
Second season started a few weeks back, and it's even better.
Nice to have a good show that's getting weekly episodes out, again.
All he needs is less personality so all the dudes can pretend to be him.
You might also like "The wrong way to use healing magic"
Hard to see a non-generic or generic adjacent manhwa
You might know it instead as webcomics, since most of them are webcomics in the longstrip format.
They are all colored and often adaptations of novels, with some generic overdone genres (lots of isekais and regressors for example)
.Hack did it far better years before SAO ever existed.
but the show is soooo good there is no chance I read ahead on this one. Everything works in this anime. 🔥🔥🔥
Also, the first half of SAO season 1 was great.
Besides the main character, no one else is memorable and they all seem to exist only to make the main character look cool. 😮💨
The first 1-2 episodes were good but it fell off after his transformation 😥. Such a shame
Then i remembered that i saw it in a tutorial for warframe clan dojo customizations.
I'm pretty sure this series was targeted at the Western market.
Thanks for that heart attack Thor. 😅
