It’s not “cherry-picking” to point out that most people rate their insurance highly, even if they also express concerns with the system. Yes, the health care system polls poorly in the abstract and many people complain about aspects of insurance, especially cost. But the topline is mostly positive.

Number 2 doesn't negate number 1 even if it should because they just don't know it yet.
But if you’re unlucky, it can ruin your life or the life of a loved one. It’s not hard to find horror stories.
You can’t win an election by appealing only to people with serious health issues or terminal illnesses.
If someone is hanging from a precipice, they will also rate their rope highly.
They'll prefer to be pulled-out to a safer place, that's why they have "concerns with the system".
They know, "in the abstract" cutting their ropes is bad, but no concrete proof of that.
And he is encouraged to cut the ropes he sells, because that's more profitable.
My son needs monthly Humira injections. My insurance is a nightmare.
But then again, Trump won on "I have concepts of a plan" so what the hell do I know about anything?

Also like, this whole murder insurers thing is the plot of bestselling novel and major motion picture The Rainmaker. It didn’t start the revolution either.
Maybe if even a plurality of people had an opportunity to observe healthcare inflation directly...
