You can, and this is probably going to see a BIG boom. Ketamine(and other "psychedelics" +adjunctive therapy are getting a lot more clinical trials, and I've seen a number of reports of success for treatment-resistant MDD and PTSD. Don't know this person or their biz, but the concept is 100% legit.

This is an up-and-coming treatment modality with much promise for people suffering MDD, PTSD, OCD, et al, with a good deal of success in people for whom other treatments (therapy, SSRIs, benzos, ECT) have failed. I hate Elon too, but so long as this jives with law & best practices, bring it on.

Just to note, ketamine therapy can saves lives. Idk about Mindbloom specifically, but ketamine can be extremely effective when administered responsibly by medical professionals. My friend is alive because of ketamine treatments. My lifelong dysthymia was gone in 2 months. Nothing to do with Elon.

Yeah, there are plenty of bad things about Musk to attack without bringing a depression and pain treatment into it. The nasal form is approved by the FDA for depression treatment. The only reason that other forms aren't is because they're no longer patented, therefore no one funds the research.

I also don't get how ketamine is a party drug. I know it is (and I hope no one tries it that way for depression) but I'm nonverbal when I'm getting a treatment, and if I don't have someone giving me a ride, I have to reschedule. It's the weirdest shit. I wouldn't want to do it outside a dr's office.

I totally agree. You would be really vulnerable and, at least to some degree, immobile, depending on dose. Even microdosing is a physical downer. But it DOES WORK for otherwise treatment-resistant depression and some types of chronic pain, so I wish people would give the Elon/ketamine thing a rest.

Absolutely! The studies are in a clinical setting with the facilitator right there. Mindbloom is more serious telehealth therapy, ketamine trip at home, and multiple telehealth sessions after (when I looked into it).

Its efficacy could be anything relative to those studies, and we don't know yet.

I think you're probably right. Heck, the way he behaves, I'm not sure he's using it at all. Cocaine, sure. But ketamine just...I've never met anyone who used it recreationally, so maybe that's really different, but everyone I know comes away feeling more connected to others and more compassionate.
