they can, they just don't want to. They've never wanted to. They hate that Republicans are virulent racists and creeps, it's just all so icky. They just like the tax cuts and all the chaos that they thrive on.
They are ignoring this intentionally so they do not lose access. AP got tossed for refusing to follow Trump's stupid renaming of the Gulf of Mexico, the rest of the press are cowards and willing to lie by omission to keep access.
Every opening to every cable news show should start with "Our government is under the control of literal Nazi's! Here is what we're gonna do about it!"
I think you have a point there. But with this admin, it is hard to tell. They may welcome all the MSM leaving and only talking to OAN and such. Hard to judge with these nut cases.
I can’t figure out why half of my family can’t figure it out. Or that my cousin thinks USAID has “hurt more people than they have helped.” And then sent a NYT article about how the DOJ indicted someone for defrauding USAID and when I pointed that out said,”someone needed to get spanked.” As proof.
It's because the press has a vested interest in keeping Trump in office. It helps their bottom line. You're smart Will, this has to have crossed your mind.
Have you considered bundling all these up into one document and mailing it to every journalist you can find? I think if you could get even a city newspaper to cover it, the Times might have to pick it up.
They’re just thinking of making the most money for their owners. Counterpoint, can you imagine being the outlet that fully exposed all this? The money, the fame (as that’s all they go for). Sad to have to boil it down to that, but….
Musk has been on a stereotypical red-pill trajectory over the past several years. Because there was no outlet tracking day-by-day developments of his evolution, each of us who does know the day to day of his posts probably has slightly different mental landmarks in his gradual shifts.
Here's nearing the end-point of where this can go, and the final stop here usually is an open stance towards genocide, often expressed with ironic detachment.

Media: “Not sure what he meant…”
*supports the AfD, a literal Nazi party in Germany*
Media: “This is unclear…”
*follows every Nazi Twitter account he can find*
Media: “Let’s not rush to conclusions…”
Musk: “I am a Nazi.”
Media: “What did he mean by that?”
And? That might last a week, since no one cares what Ben Shapiro or Mike Lindell say or do, and narcissists need attention.

e.g. "I hit follow by mistake"; "I saw one message I liked and followed it. No idea there were other bad ones."
End of story.
