The problem I have is that I think ideas like “abundance” have purchase among the powerful wonk set specifically because they avoid the social justice questions raised by race and gender. A big part of the appeal is how they keep us away from these topics

but the policy agenda doesn’t belong to him. that’s the point of this post. you can have really negative sentiments about people who promote abundance without letting that decide how you feel about the specific policy approach and areas of focus that fall under the abundance umbrella.
