Ending DEI was such BS. For the physically and mentally disabled being able to get a job in places many normally would have been discriminated against was a dream come true until Trump decided to Ban dei and everyone jumped on the DEI hate wagon and fired them all. I hope those businesses collapse.
They of course should be avoided EVERY day (it's actually easy). If you're someone who argues their prices are just too affordable to 'quit' them, consider what they'll do with the cost for their products & services once they've successfully destroyed all small businesses & you have no choice 🤔

The approach is to a) avoid these specific companies and to b) cut down your consumption generally, as much as you possibly can each day. No one can do this perfectly—don’t use the lack of perfection (or a bit of inconvenience) as an excuse to do nothing.
We will NEVER shop at Target again. There are plenty of other stores around. Target has screwed themselves royally by kissing Trump #Krasnov 's rear end.
I wrote an email to the ceo about never ever shopping there again and my thoughts on their kissing the ring and bowing down to the Trump and Musk presidency . Almost immediately got an email back how they are inclusive etc etc etc . It must be working , keep not shopping there and let them know why
Same here! I let them know I shopped their weekly, if not multiple times a week AND I was a shareholder. I sold all my stocks and haven’t been there since. FAFO.
From a lawsuit filed in Florida "immense consumer backlash and boycotts that caused Target’s sales to fall for the first time in six years and wiped out over $25 billion in Target’s market capitalization — leading Target’s stock to experience its longest losing streak in 23 years,” ❗😮❗
I'm proud to say that I haven't been inside a Target since they made that announcement. My money isn't much, but with everyone else, perhaps this can make a difference.
I don’t really understand the ecosystem that target operates in. Their goods and services are of the same quality as Walmart, but you pay a premium for why? Because it isn’t Walmart? That’s the most American thing, I swear. I’ll pay more money for this Malaysian made tshirt to be superior.
This is what I don't get tbh. Target only did it in response to Walmart (and several other companies) and not even a roll back but just a program that was already ending. It feels like Walmart perpetuates this to make Target look bad instead of them.
I cancelled my Amazon prime membership and now that money is going to ACLU instead of Bezos. I also stopped shopping at Target. I boycotted Walmart years ago and started using Target. Now I need to find another store. Local business will get my money.
Yes. And those who aren't a part of the agenda of diversity, equity & inclusion as a standard can probably fuck off too if they're blaming me for not wanting to spend my money somewhere else instead of being mad at a corporation for giving an orange blow job to an authoritarian. Next question.
WHAT NOT TO DO:
Do not make any purchases
Do not shop online, or in-store
No Amazon, No Walmart, No Best Buy
Nowhere!
Do not spend money on:
Fast Food
Gas
Major Retailers
Do not use Credit or Debit Cards for non essential spending
How about they just sell shit and follow laws? Why do we need their marketing departments taking control of social movements only to turn them out for cheap tricks when they can make a buck?
This entire marriage of social movement to corporate interest is cancerous and part of why we're here.
The phrase, “For the people, by the people” is a joke. It should be, 'For the Oligarch, by the Oligarch'. Republican or Democrat, they serve the rich before they serve the people. Fighting against corporations is the only thing people have left.
A D protesting in the streets And finding ways to make MAGA supporters (the ones that are "good faithly" still in their cloud, KNOW all thst just for example: Rachel Maddow shows daily! How can we aporoach them besides approaching ourselves, "inbreeding" only among us
I will not spend another dime at Target! And I literally live right across the street from one. Join me in teaching corporate America what happens when they side with a tyrant and a sickly looking rich clown who bought himself a position in our govt!

What the state is more concerned with is that Target is a part of the pension plan for state workers. Money is more important then doing right by people. My " great" state sucks.
I am conflicted. I stopped Target because they dropped DEI. I found out today the state if Florida is suing Target because they claim that Target engaged in deceptive practice of participating in DEI and pride merchandise and display. It all comes down to the fact that Target is losing money.
For me personally, I have not gone to Walmart or Target since they denounced DEI. Ive also boycotted amazon because fuck oligarchs. I've also been planning a veggie garden and only purchased from places that have DEI still in place. I may be one person, but one person can help make a change.
These companies behave as if,only cis white people buy their shit. I dont understand who gave these same people the right to say what’s “ok” i don’t want to have to be “included” but if they weren’t so afraid of equality( they know their superiority is self imposed) i wouldn’t need inclusion.
They've lost 13% of their value since the first business day after they ditched DEI. That only works out to about $7B, if I'm mathing right, and I'm not a financial dude at all so I might not be.
I've been tracking Tesla's losses for the past week, and I likewise have no clue how much they're losing, but I know -16% in a month is really bad. Which makes me smile right now
They are getting hit with lawsuits for DEI by the state of Florida going back to 2023, had huge dip in November missing sales estimates, and previous to that post COVID lockdown caused it to drop from a high of $260+ in mid to late 2021. They are getting boycotted from every direction.
Target isn't against DEI, and it hasn't ended its practices. The fascist dictator is the problem. Don't detract from who the POS is that is the source of this.
Go after Tesla, spacex, or any of the brain dead conservative organizations that plotted to overthrow our government.
Its sad cause at least at first I liked how they were handling the pride section from a year or two ago. Saw a clip of a guy saying he is gonna burn in and security said "after you buy it you can do what you want...but you need to buy it first"
I still need to get a few items there that no where else near me sells. But I started buying all the other stuff elsewhere. What I spent at Target dropped by probably 75% or so.
I closed my Target account and have not stepped foot in store since they bent the knee, and I live a few blocks away from a Target store. I enjoyed shopping car free but it’s worth the drive to local supermarkets, drug stores and Costco to resist.
People may have lost their political power but they still have the power of the purse. Stop buying anything that's not a necessity and make the billionaires and investor class feel it. Make Trump toxic to business.
Went back and added up my Target card charges last year. Over $1600. 2023 was closer to $2000. But not anymore. I can’t even stomach the thought of returning there, & since there are plenty of other options available to me that don’t turn my stomach, why would I go back there?
Budweiser shit it’s pants over a few social conservatives stunt bans. They always claim the title of silent majority or million moms but they are just bigot minority with wealth
There is a great little Spanish produce store in my area. They have all kinds of produce in there and sauces and ingredients to cook, and they have meat. Everything looked organic. There are pop-ups. An independent food companies. You we can use social media to find non-corporate alternatives
What SHOULD come out of this is that we just hold corpos accountable while being maniacally against them using social branding as a marketing ploy. I want this same energy when they start putting flags on their advertisements.
They helped whip up this regressive social blowback by over saturating.

I very much don't think so. 15 million? Maybe. MAYBE.
"Target lost $15.7 billion of market value after share prices fell 22% on Nov. 20, 2024."
I'm all for holding Target accountable but let's maybe not lie about it.

Nope. Won't shop there again until they reinstate it.

...There's probably a snappier way to put it.
You should stick to reskeeting other people's bad opinions.
It’s hardly surprising the average person is moving to the right across the west.
I wish you guys would wake up.

Do not shop. One day can turn into a whole bunch of days.
Shop Costco or local.
Let them know we have the power.
The People's Union is planning additional blackouts aimed at specific retailers, such as an event from March 7-14 to halt spending at Amazon.
