These are dark days.
Itβs a good time to delight in and learn from the manul, a floofy, grumpy-faced wild cat that keeps its paws warm in snow by resting them on its tail. πΏ
The manul wants you to practice self-care in hard times, too.
Look at that face.
Donβt disappoint him.

Oh my!!
It's almost uncanny-valley.
It's a bit disturbing, although the Palas cats are, of course, adorable at all stages in their lives.

An aside: in the ornithology world thereβs an ongoing effort to drop eponymous names due to the way they can be exclusionary, valorize colonialism, etc. I try to steer clear even with non-birds (manul rather than Pallasβ cat). Not intended to scold, just a perspective to consider. π
Here in Oz we have Uluru, once named Ayer's Rock, in similar fashion. Yes, it's geology not biology, but the point is the same I think.
My self care is to stop packing, put baseball and football on multiplay without sound and clean out the fridge by finishing the open bottle of wine (only 2 glasses, so not too much).
Don't worry floofy boiz I'm doing my best.
