So now that the EU is on the same 10% tariff as the UK, could we please hear from all those who tried to portray the previous scenario as a 'Brexit benefit'...

Also the UK would find it more difficult to sell its products elsewhere (if tariffs make them difficult to sell in the US) then the EU that has a far greater home (SM) market.
The gammons will see off this flimsy observation with aplomb by reminding us that brexit is done & people don't want to discuss it anymore. (Until the next time they've "discovered" what could be the first ever confirmed 'brexit benefit'). People really want to talk about penguins stealing our fish.
I just hope all the insanity leads to the crashing of the dollar as the worlds currency bench mark, its been a ponzy scheme for too and long hurting poor countries the most
The supposed benefits of unshackling from the EU? Still waiting to materialise, like that pot of gold at the end of a rainbow that turns out to be a pile of Brexit shrapnel instead.
There are too many folk who claim to be pro EU, but who have become strangely silent since Labour came in, & I am accused of being anti Starmer, or have a version of mansplaining Labours approach to the EU, trying to silence me holding Labours feet to the fire re youth FOM/CU/rejoin
Labour apologists have been trying to silence the rejoin majority since 24/6/16.
Even those who claim to be pro-EU will often do the Brexiters work for them if it gives an opportunity to attempt to defend Lexit, or even better call someone a Tory.
Off to Spain next month I’m so looking forward to the wait , usually about an hour, to get through their passport control because BJ is as self serving
'Brexit benefit' is an oxymoron, and Brexit remains as self-defeating and moronic as it was the day it was passed.
Nothing an American president can do will alter the realities of Britain's stupidest decision in at least 75 years, aside from putting Brexit's myriad failures into starker relief.
The us has a surplus with the UK so the fact we now have 10%, is that not USA pulling the same shit they are accusing the world of doing to USA? Tell the orange rapist to fuck the fuck off
I'm always reminded of the start of the film Those magnificent men.....2 men dragging a broken down plane through the desert on a cart......wind blows a paper in their faces about a contest with a massive prize.....they read.
"Somewhere out there is a Brexit Benefit..."........
Can you pls start leading an active campaign to rejoin asap. Not some distant unspecified point over horizon. Condemn Starmer for his disgraceful position. Refusing to work to rejoin while fawning over a tyrant who violates human rights, rule of law & breaks treaties.
Lead! Maj want just need power.
His corporate bosses wanted Brexit so they can laden the plebs more slavery and pump shit in their rivers and seas, Starmer will never reverse Brexit, he was instrumental in bringing it about
First words I hear when I put on the car radio after work. Fucking Tice. "Thanks to our Brexit benefits..." we can negotiate our own deal with the slave-trafficker.
Except we can't because we have zero clout, zero bargaining power and zero alternatives - thanks to our Brexit benefits.
Tice went on to get himself completely owned by claiming that chlorine-washed chicken was fine because salad leaves so treated were, ignoring the reasons why HMG allows chlorine treatment of vegetables but not of meat; then drowned under a series of questions about hormones and drugs used in the US.
This tariff nonsense resumes in 90 days so it's a bit early for any conclusions.
Remainers could use the time to do what they failed to do in 2016 - assemble a strategically persuasive case for remaining in the EU or, as it applies today, being in the EU.

Yes. But no complaining afterwards. And no opt-out clauses. And your representatives must wear a silly hat in their first 4 meetings and end every of those meetings by singing “Ding Dong Merrily On High”. After that reinitiation rite we are cool.
I know. It is pure self interest. I like salt and vinegar crisps, Branston small chunk pickle and anything with ginger like ginger marmalade, ginger wine or fiery ginger ale. I have a trade deficit on all those products so I don’t have the cards.

That's 40 hrs?
Yah, he will be ready to do more.
Switch it up.
Tie a knot.
Don't ever get comfortable.

Good thing it’s all just for fun and with no harm to any real people. Oh…

Next April 7th the uk should all stand outside their houses at 7pm and wave their dark blue passports and hum the tune to the archers

Wanker.
Or until the Orange Clown changes his mind again.
But this appears to be what they are saying (for now!).
The only thing that's certain is that it will change again!

Try a 30 year view.
They can't
The UK has to qualify under the Copenhagen criteria…they don’t.
Sucking up to Trump isn’t exactly the way to regain our trust and the UKs sense of entitlement hasn’t gone away either.
He is right about one thing though. If the UK ever joins the EU there will be no opt outs.
