We need people like you EVERYWHERE. Lack of security or support is one of the main reasons people don’t speak out, protest, or fight for others rights.

That's absolutely absurd. A member of my extended family is transgender and I have no issue with that. Why would anyone else? The world needs to do better. A lot fookin' better. 🏳️🌈

If you do, then welcome!💙 But also be aware that when choosing your landing site, large swaths of IL are locally red, especially in the southern half of the state. I'm in the Quad Cities (Moline/Rock Island area). Metro areas are the safest bet. (QC, Chicago, Springfield, Champaign, etc.)
Can confirm. I lived on the south side in Blue Island (also Cook county) where my husband was born & raised for some years until we moved west to the QC. A lot of people live in Will & Du Page Cos. & commute. I drive back the 3hrs several times a year just for fun or to see family.
