Tough losses for those of us in the Midwest/Great Lakes region. I thought for sure one of them would make it to the championship game. Their records in regular season and performance was good. Now we say⦠always next year.
It's Shocking how the Number 1 story of the NFL season was the injuries to the Detroit Lions defense. Yet, not One reputable sports news organization asked the question when will the injuries catch up to them.
The story is not the Detroit Lions losing, it's incompetent journalism.
I was absolutely shocked the lions didn't smack Washington into next year.. but it was a great game... I can't be mad Washington beat the bucs last week after that game last night.. just a lil salty.. go chiefs!! β€οΈπ
The Lions defense was a MASH unit. They lost so many good players it was impossible to keep it up. The Vikings weren't all that great despite their record and Sam Darnold was always one hit away from defaulting to the Jets version of himself, which he did
Errr
Evidently..
Let me take a stab at this
Hold on..
If they were the best
And they came up short
Then they were not the best
Unless you mean statistically
Which means nothing unless it fucks up your grandmaβs fantasy football
Lol
Not the NFLs best division then it would seem. Seriously though if not for the existence of the Bears and an extra spot the Packers wouldnβt have even been a playoff team. The Vikings are the least scary 13 win team in history twice now. The Lions were using a practice squad defense for weeks.
Well of Darnold didnβt have the most epic collapse of an athlete Iβve ever seen the Vikings would still be playing but at the end of the day youβre right except they won 14 games this yearπ€·ββοΈ
Well Darnold is the biggest reason they were never scary. I know the coach is popular as well but he just doesnβt do it for me, he always beats all the bad teams and none of the elite. And I know about the 14 wins not enough characters and I think the point is the same.
He was playing great both the Detroit game and the Rams game was there for the taking had Darnold just played half as good as he had all season but all his naysayers were right at the end of the day. And Iβm with you on KOC I think he is missing that killer competitor gene.
It was like Oklahoma at NCAAs last spring. So tough to make the lineup all season they were burned out for four on the floor. Vikings and Lions fought so hard for that #1 seed, there were no reserves for the Lions anyway.
Is it possible they werenβt the NFLβs best division but just better than the AFC South and NFC West where half their games were played so they got exposed when they played real teams?
And yet combined the Cowboys & Giants have won 9 more Super Bowls than the Lions (who have won 0) albeit NOT lately. And if Philly wins today (not a given) 2 NFC East teams will be in the conference championship game. Which hurts this Cowboys fan a great deal.
2 NFCE teams in the championship. You guys gotta be pulling for Washington because - F Phillyβ¦
Iβm rooting for Jayden Daniels myself. Iβm on YouTube saying he was the best pick in the draft - before the season started - of course I was arguing w a Bears fanβ¦
I agree. But he might not be taking sacks if they were up 12-10.
I have no fight in this as Iβm not a fan of an AFC team.
Just tired of the lame calls. They need to stop favoring certain quarterbacks. Take a hit like a man. Two games in a week? lol, try playing hockey. Lol

But as you say, let's just hope it's a good game. π
Perhaps the NFC North was not the best division.
Perhaps playing each other, the NFC West, and AFC South was a weak schedule that made them look better.
The way the Vikings, Lions, and Packers all lost by double digits, wow.
Shit happensπ
You need any further proof?
NFC Championship is between Eagles and Commanders.
Bears never recovered after that last second play against Washington.
And then their season came undone rapidly at the hands of the Commanders ‡οΈ
