Obama and she's stood strong against trump so far. Its an error on the states not the judge. Unfortunately trump and musk are not operating by the book like this judge so this is a massive setback/delay.
Ok so a judge says in so many words there isn’t enough proof that Musk wouldn’t harm anything but where is the proof that he won’t? Has the judge not observed what has happened so far? Has Musk shown proof that there is fraud and overspending?
So, nobody is in charge of DOGE, they’re not vetted, have no security clearance, no proper training, no accountability, have no right to access our records, but we have no rights to stop them? WTF?
Yes, this freaking sucks, but on the plus side, nationwide events last Saturday protesting Musk at Tesla stores and charging stations was wildly successful. Alex Winter's @alexwinter.com organizing. Collective action is all we've got folks, so LFG. https://bsky.app/profile/alexwinter.com/post/3liifvhxr7k2u
This article does not give a reason, however another article mentions this "U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan wrote that the "possibility" that DOGE could harm the states "is not enough" to halt its activities."
This was explained earlier this week. Judge Chutkan could not make a ruling because Republicans withheld the evidence requested for the trial. Their usual pattern of obstruction, lies, and refusal to answer questions.
Shop for a new judge. Just put in motion after motion after motion. Just keep going.
Good trouble must become a nightmare for the villain. Good trouble must break the resolve of the weak-willed. Good trouble must outsmart the ignorant. Good trouble must outdo the lazy. Good trouble can win.
It wasn't worded correctly or something like that. She told them what to do, now these states need to freaking do it....or do the 💩 right the first time! Our luck the states will just drop it.
Federal judges can not stop a foreign adversary attack disguised as an insider. Not until damages are known. And even then, it's too late with little remedy
DOGE led by Musk was supposedly NOT hired by Trump.Trump didn't hire them, or so he claims. DOGE and Musk have no authority to do any of what they are doing. Just send in the military to remove them...since Trump said he didn't hire them.
This may not be altogether bad. The sooner the pain, the sooner we get cured of this disease. I don't think they have hurt enough, hard enough. Heard a rumor Medicare and Social Security may see some 'delay' in payments. If that happens, it will get real for a lot of people, his people.
"The plaintiffs asked the judge to block DOGE from taking further actions until the court can hold a hearing on an injunction to stop the conduct while litigation is ongoing."
- Presumably, judge said no but the article didn't elaborate on why (or who it was... Chutkan?)
I guess the expectation is that folks will read the linked lawsuit from Democracy Docket, which I can understand. But that looks like it is just the communication from the plaintiffs (the suing AGs), not the response from the judge which is what we really want to see...
WHO IS THE JUDGE?! Say their name!! They need to be held accountable and we need to spread their name and what they are doing! They are denying our constitutional right!!

Republican budget will add $25 trillion to our national debt.

Guess the plaintiffs need to tighten up their wording, or take it to SCOTUS.
