This is a Chevy Trailblazer FYI. I find many cars from the 1930s–1940s, and many cars from the late 1970s, looked very similar. But hey, that's just me.

Thing is that yes lots of 70s Saloons looked similar
But manufacturers made other styles! City cars, family hatch, estates, coupes, convertibles and 4x4s
Now you can just buy SUVs in various sizes

Can we just get back to normalizing 12" wheels and tires again? I had a 1979 Honda Civic with a 1200cc engine and 145/80R12 tires! They were FINE! Now even cheap cars come with 17s. What kind of dystopian future am I living in?!?! (A: A damn scary one, regardless of wheel/tire size)

Immediately after purchasing my prior and current Subarus, I pulled the stock 17s, and installed 15 inchers…the smallest that would fit over the calipers. In addition to better look, lighter weight and improved ride, the tires are cheaper.
