As an avid supporter of print-and-play roll-and-write #BoardGames, I'm dismayed by the increase of "AI art" used by the designers.
This is what I sent to a designer today. So bummed, the game looks good. But there are lots of good games coming out and I'll toss my $ at those not using AI "art".

Limited scope so far, but I'm generally optimistic that the BGG team supports making this sort of thing public knowledge

Generative AI is “simply one more tool” in the same way that tracing over an artists’ work is one more tool. The difference from digital illustration is plagiarism.

And I have A LOT of alternatives, without this disadvantage.
