It was always going to be interesting to see just how far Starmer’s zero tolerance approach to wrongdoing would reach. And I don’t know how electorally salient it will be. If there are no more ‘revelations’ to come, Louise Haigh is entitled to feel a tad aggrieved. But it’s probably right she goes.

I look forward to the assisted dying bill not passing as well.
Looking forward to seeing Nigel Farage grilled on this.
Who on the planet is whiter than white? Who has never done something they regret?
Part of the disconnect with politicians is this constant pursuit of a veneer of infallibility.
PM made right short term decision tho
She said she wanted to nick good ideas. I guess it depends on the definition of good.
It’s not as if she has stolen or misspent millions like others in power not too long ago🤔

Is she an effective minister.?
I think so.
Is this the right thing to do?
It's like the world was created on 4 July 2024!
She had to go either way.
This has created a problem, not solved one.
Unless of course there’s more to it …..
Somehow resign worthy when the media basically skipped over the Reform MP beaing a convicted wife beater.
This also shows up Reform PLC for what it is
Wheres the comparable ‘scoop’ on his white male supremacist wife beater MP McMurdoch
Wheres all the demands for the little maggot dicks resignation?
Haigh wasn’t even found guilty of anything let alone jailed for assault
Some of them are even saying "vindication for McMurdock" as if that absolves him of lying about lashing his lass all over.
Meanwhile they all say NOTHING about Farage employing a white male supremacist wife beater
It’s beyond despicable
Tough on Louise, but a higher level of integrity & honesty now holds power.
It’s a hit job.

Just a shame where the other lot normalised the fact, that they would take part in all sorts of behaviour and never resign.
Don't get me started on BadEnoch and McMurdock.
Now an *actual* resignation? For something a lot of people consider a grey area? Instead of the govt closing ranks and doing what they want because they think they're better than us proles?
Cool.
If you go into that level of public service you can be sure there are those looking for the bones.
It’s a weird world 🌍 we live in James 🤓
#labour #zerotolerance
Save me, save me! or was that Eric Doppleganger?
It's such a nothing story, it's a shame it's killed her advancement.
Unbelievable and she was really sorting out public transport.
But this is deeply unfair, and the tories are hypocrites
It's not fair, but it's reality and it would have become a running sore
Even now she's gone I expect they will find a way to criticise Starmer
Doesn’t feel like it’s morally as bad as hacking into another MPs website and certainly nowhere near repeatedly kicking your partner.
Starmer needs to stop bringing a rulebook to a knife fight
