The NHS should not be privatised, but it needs reforms. I have seen the NHS from 3 sides. A patient, a worker and now in the French system. The French is better because you are treated properly and people are more respected.
I am in Canada & sadly we see the same slow motion deconstruction of our public healthcare system. It isn’t a blatant attack on the whole but, picking out pieces & passing to for profit for “the good of the public” by easing backlogs and shortages created by lack of adequate funding.

BUT… it took exactly three years to create the NHS, so it should still be possible to save it in five.
If only that was what Streeting and Starmer wanted to do.
Many of the staff already work for private companies with NHS contracts.
At the 2019 election, many people scoffed at the idea that the NHS might be privatised. They imagined a big For Sale sign outside NHS HQ - but in reality it was already being sold off piece by piece.
Was at an investment seminar in Prague today (for US citizens living here). The presenter (US citizen) reminded the audience how lucky they were to not have to pay huge monthly costs for medical insurance here.

From the data available, it would seem we are in a slightly better position in Scotland. But then of course, if our pocket money from the Westminster administration reduces, as apparently it has, then it puts the Scottish Government in a difficult position.
