The NHS should not be privatised, but it needs reforms. I have seen the NHS from 3 sides. A patient, a worker and now in the French system. The French is better because you are treated properly and people are more respected.
I am in Canada & sadly we see the same slow motion deconstruction of our public healthcare system. It isnβt a blatant attack on the whole but, picking out pieces & passing to for profit for βthe good of the publicβ by easing backlogs and shortages created by lack of adequate funding.
Thank you for your relentless work Dr Patterson It's great to have you here. It is so frustrating that there has already been creeping privatisation of our NHS and Labour seem to be continuing with it π‘
βWill beβ..? The NHS is already privatised so much that we are reaching the point of no return.
BUT⦠it took exactly three years to create the NHS, so it should still be possible to save it in five.
If only that was what Streeting and Starmer wanted to do.
Many of the staff already work for private companies with NHS contracts.
At the 2019 election, many people scoffed at the idea that the NHS might be privatised. They imagined a big For Sale sign outside NHS HQ - but in reality it was already being sold off piece by piece.
Was at an investment seminar in Prague today (for US citizens living here). The presenter (US citizen) reminded the audience how lucky they were to not have to pay huge monthly costs for medical insurance here.
Hi there, reposted and followed π The Scottish NHS saved my life last year (no exaggeration) myself and my family cannot thank everybody involved enough.

From the data available, it would seem we are in a slightly better position in Scotland. But then of course, if our pocket money from the Westminster administration reduces, as apparently it has, then it puts the Scottish Government in a difficult position.
I'm already following you, as I was on Twitter/X, though my username was JJS there, I believe you are already following me back. Oh, and keep up the good work.
Hi from across the pond. Here in the US , as everyone knows, people die or go into bankruptcy trying to get health care. Donβt do it ! Fight this with all you have!
Absolutely! I wholeheartedly oppose NHS privatisation. Reposting and following you now. Let's stand together to protect our healthcare system! πππ

We need to quash the real fear former to get on, without yet more delay, the latter.
