Begging the political press to stop just reporting on what Trump says he's done, and actually investigating what has *actually* happened. The focus on rushing out stories to be first is letting the MAGA world play you over and over and over again.

What if, every single time his dumbass administration takes another L, they actually said something like "This week, America flexed on Columbia and then flinched when they flexed back" instead of "Columbia capitulated to the demands of insane baby-man President".
Our failure was allowing our "free press" in the political sphere be monopolized by rich fucks with trust funds that think journalism is about access to other rich and famous people.
Begging? Stop watching. We are going to have to work a little harder understanding how government works and how DJT is exploiting weakness. Like the raptors in Jurassic Park checking the electrical fence parameter.
Yeah how about a weekly 60 minutes style thing that actually goes into depth on what really happened and doesn’t talk about every stupid thing he said or decreed.
Mueller she wrote and the related pods. If you want a quality city newspaper, Philly Inquirer is owned by a foundation charged with presenting actual journalism. The founding is funding projects for sustainable media not owned by oligarchs and hedge funds (which is more of less an oxymoron).
Example: Axios' piece on the plan to force federal employees who don't come back into to the workplace to resign just quotes their wildly incorrect assertion that only 6% have returned to in-office work. It's actually 61! At the Ag Dept, it's 81! Biden was working on this and tracked it.
The ultimate owners of news organizations like it the way it is. Think who owns xyz news? Who owns xyz movie entertainment empire. Who owns the empire? That’s why reporters are not investigative but mere tv talent reporters
"Journalistic ethics" combined with the incentive structure at legacy corporate political media have been comprehensively gamed. If you're a nihilist, you can lead them around by the nose.
Everything else aside, I'd be embarrassed for a lot of these folks, they look like such ridiculous rubes.
I will run for POTUS and on my first day announce I have cured Cancer, Leukemia and the common cold, also I have brought world peace and 100% employment.
I am sure the press will report it without questioning a thing I said.
"letting" *sigh* Once again, this is not incompetence, this is deliberate. The mainstream political press is owned by the oligarchs and they don't want good reporting, they want stenographers.
The problem, some depts directly affected don't even know what's fully happened yet. He's issuing vague orders, throwing things in chaos. His attempt to pause Fed funding is an example. The short stay gives little time for them to sort out the confusion.
NO. That is not what is happening. The MSM is intentionally complicit with Trump's framing of things, for various nefarious and/or cowardly reasons. They are not being played. People still watching them are being played.
Amen. He’s telling them he turned on a literal faucet somewhere yonder near or north (Canada) of the PNW that he just turned on to get water to LA. I can’t believe I just had to type that.
This has been the problem of the modern media in a nutshell. They have long ago abandoned reporting (investigating, verifying, etc) and replaced it with amplification.
And journalist at the daily briefings need to start asking why. Why are you deporting non-criminals? Why are you raising Rx costs? Why are you freezing federal funding? Make the explain.

Lies get popped in and get popped out as news
2) What Trump tries to do
3) What Trump gets to happen
4) What Trump says happened
Those are four different things. Often incredibly different things. Very important to keep that in mind and not just stop at Step 1.
The press is the only reason Trump can claim a victory there.
The *only* reason.
