Today seems like the right day to drop a take I've bene saving - I'm skeptical of the plan to primary every Democrat because John Fetterman is proof that someone who plays well as an outsider in elections can be a huge liability if elected, and much worse than whatever situation they upended.

"Primary every Democrat," doesn't mean "support every primary challenger." Half of the reason to do it is to pressure Democrats into not sucking by making them answerable to the base.
Nobody Learned anything from the *millions* wasted on Pelosi and MCConnell challenges

Seems less like "outsiders can backfire" and more "strokes suck"
Primary AOC? Primary Pressley? Really?
No, stop. Primary the people who suck with people who are better.
I can appreciate your pt that "outsiders" are riskier bets, since their reliability is in themselves, not vetted by a system...
Picking a reformist "insider" would not have solved the problem, since there are real changes that need to be made.
1. Dem bench isn't deep enough with "quality" candidates to support it.
2. "quality" candidates typically avoid primarying incumbents due to party penalties and backlash.
Primary systems are designed to protect incumbency and not threaten it.
Lamb was a two-term Congressman.
1. He's always had a contentious record in Politics, especially when he was mayor of Braddock.

"He used to be normal and useful UNTIL he got disabled, so now he's worthless to us!"
My advice, always a candidate/politician more by their actual history than medical history. Always.

or that lamb would have been any better
genocidal zionism IS the status quo position in congress, bipartisanly
To be fair, this current conflict started after the 2022 election so neither faced questions on it during campaign and so wasn’t a top of mind issue for most.
Meanwhile, the counterpoint would be AOC or Crockett.
And I am VERY leery of leadership’s judgement in the current environment.
AOC was an outsider.
I think we should still primary everyone. Voters deserve choices.
It's a risk we have to take or we'll keep fiddling our thumbs until a smarter, savvier Trump bot wins.
