Not really though; he was only the head of the Dicastery of Bishops for the last couple of years. Most of the guys he vetted aren't even Cardinals yet.
Yeah, I am gonna have a hard time getting over that. Hopefully this is God’s way of saying “You can have a pope or another ring, and you ain’t getting another ring.”
