I really think you need to tell Germany this. They think they have to fix Germany first, then EU. But the truth is, waiting for Germany to do the right thing for Europe, may be a forever thing. Can UK be a leader in getting Germany to the military table?
It's a great dream and would be a fine reality but unfortunately it's not nor will it be until this country develops an overwhelming desire to rejoin the EU. The constant attacks on the new government by the MSM fof not solving the inherited mess in 6 months and Reforms polling is not helping
Those two things are not contrary. As I have said many times, what I push for as an individual or organisation, can be one thing, but accepting that what gov't can adopt as policy right now, is a step in the direction. The problem is people expecting an instant shift to their FULL position NOW. A x
Absolutely my thoughts also Kev. It proves at every point that we should never have been taken out in the first place. We were and always safer in than out of the EU# #RejoinEU
Before Reform UK say this would be a betrayal of the British people, ask its MPs if they support their backer Elon Musk claiming Mars as a free planet outside Earth jurisdiction.
Musk’s Mars plan is a betrayal of the people he will leave behind on Earth.
Unfortunately, our naive politicians failed to offer a third option, namely "stay in a customs union, leave the political union" you know, like a 'common market' sort of thing. People would have happily accepted that option and binned Fartage and co.
Will be interesting to see if the Prime Minister's meeting with Trump will have an impact. Sometimes, face to face meetings can have quite a profound effect. Won't mean a sudden volte face, but might chip away at some of the EU nervousness that the Prime Minister has.

“If we tried to rejoin the SM / CU it would fail …. We need to start building at the grass roots”….
I could be wrong.
But equally given Trump I wonder if what was previously politically impossible might now be merely difficult
Everyone can see rejoining the EU makes perfect sense.
Apart from our top 3 party leaders.
What’s wrong with them?
The key is to address the basic cause of Euroscepticism, enabling us to rejoin the EU.
After 9 years of failure, may be time to upgrade the Remainer strategy?
I don't believe for one second that Reeves understands that.
At least one album in there....
