I don't think anybody could be blamed for getting nothing when trying to negotiate with someone with the intellectual capacity of a capricious 4 year old child. Besides even if Trump agrees to something - will we ever trust him not to change his mind next day/week/month?
Which makes me question the continued maintenance of our nuclear weapons, and the constant bragging of having a nuclear armed submarine constantly on patrol.
If it were truly independent there may be a point to be made, but if the partner you rely on to maintain and use the weapons has sided with the enemy that you are trying to deter, it kind of makes them useless.
Drumph doesn’t “like” anyone, except himself of course! He feigns affection because he knows Macron has standing and influence which The Drumph believes he can use to his advantage.
But today will pose 25 per cent tariffs on Europe! I don’t think Trump likes anyone but yes, Macron is very skilled in this type of one on one situation.

He's as thick and emotionally literate as custard.
Macron was not weak.

Partly because Trump only likes himself. He certainly didn't like that he got corrected and upstaged. He even snidely implied Macron was lying .
But I do think the mixture of charm and strength disarmed Trump
Pity Starmer has neither. It doesn't bode well
