Huge news from Turkey: Ekrem İ̇mamoğlu, Istanbul’s popular mayor and Erdogan opponent has been detained alongside a long list of his political allies. This comes hours after his decades long university diploma was revoked; today long list of alleged crimes, claiming he leads a criminal organization.

Interestingly, Erdogan spent years buying off NYC Mayor Eric Adams, who Trump is now letting off the hook in return for political favors.

In the sense that it's part of the same corrupt ecosystem, the future is already now.

Isn't it rather the past and the present, just exposed? Meaning that the future can be a continuance, but with the impending implosion, that's not the only likely pathway? Instead of a status quo borne by illusions and threatened by its underlying deficiencies, we now see the status quo exposed.

I'd say that unless there is some radical change in human behavior, the only future is corruption, even if the future is not only corruption.
