I have known that for years.

Many get "news" fr sources with an obvious pro-right wing agenda.

Some in NP desserts get their news fr more subtle outlets (Sinclair broadcasting the local NBC/ABC/CBS station) who demand they include propaganda.

Some are too young to recall first 4 yrs / were disinterested then.
