SPED parents are (1) acutely aware of their children's rights and the gov't role securing them, (2) fiercely protective, but (3) deceptively polite when they're dealing with local officials.

Parents were calling the county and the school *all day* wondering what this meant for IEPs and other services.
I’d guess +50% made the wrong choice in the voting booth, purple based on zip code.
In my defense, idea was for an asst teacher to be his permanent activity partner for group activities.
The powers that be don't know what they are fucking with.

These are people who have never had to fight for their children’s existence and they are utterly clueless about the opponent they just drew.
Childhood disability is not particular to political party. Many folks on both sides have disabled children or disabled adult children.
