Absolutely. One of my two girls snores, little tiny whuffily sounding exhales. Sometimes, if I wake up at night, I listen to her snores, and the Great Pyrenees snoring, and my other cat making little sleepy contented sounds, and I think: this is the sound of happiness.

I met one shelter cat who couldn't be let out at the same time as other cats because she'd make the rounds of their cages and eat ALL the leftover food. She was turning into a tortie basketball.

My tortie spent a good year or so (fitting since she was getting blimp shaped) on a diet that eventually saw her drop a couple pounds and it was very miserable for both of us, she made sure 😂 primarily I put a bunch of extra water in her wet food to fill her up more, it’s fairly effective

I fostered the largest female cat I've ever seen, Nimbus was like a big picnic watermelon covered in short black fur and she got plenty of exercise thrashing my very rude large male cat. [He deserved it.] The other resident cats, all female, were thrilled. Nimbus was annoyed but unharmed.

She eventually went to live with someone who had a mouse problem and they deduced that Nimbus must have been descending and climbing stairs because the mice were diminishing. Not sure if she lost or gained weight due to the mice. Go, Nimbus!

My husband went to a shelter and one of the kittens had spilled his water into his litter (or vice versa) and was flinging little clumps of the resulting paste out between the cage bars. Of course, this was the kitten he adopted.

To be clear: “do not release for any reason” usually means “if this cat eats the regular food that’s out for the uncaged cats in the room, there will be explosive diarrhea” or “this cat needs some time away from their roommates”. These are not scary cats!

Truth. 😂 My late Siamese kitty Tsai Ming had an arrest record for biting when we adopted him. Sweetest kitty ever who never once bit us. Now we have a half blind Ragdoll mop of a kitty who falls under the Ninja Escape Artist category. Lila’s fearless.

First, I think, because it's cute and second because snoring *can* be a sign of respiratory issues, and the cats in this room have other medical things going on, so it's good to know there's no reason to worry if you hear it
