🤣 I can fully pet some of mine (5 yrs of feeding them so don’t think that privilege came easy) after petting them my hands smell like nothing? But mine are set up in this little housing complex I built in the woods-maybe that matters?
Oh that’ll do it. Lol. I’d to TNR 9. I must be very lucky? I put down contractor bags (in my 🚗 ) and immediately wrap their traps in large towels (it soothes them). So I avoided pee. (Thank God-it sounds terrible). I’ve even fostered the tiny little babies during COVID (no TNR appointments 😬).
they naturally smell good plus their fur picks up all the odors from around your house and if you let them out, your neighborhood. so they also smell like where you live. so the smells you surround yourself with in your home + their natural scent = nose snuggles.
Might be the earthly smell. One cat kinda smelled like calcium. She was a farmer cat huntress, so mice bones probably mixed into her fur and made her smell like milk powder.
Weirdly, all my cats have smelled nice (except when wet, then they've smelled of damp woolly jumpers) - except the Maine Coon. She didn't smell of anything. I'd have thought she'd be even more smelly in a good way than my shorthair mogs, but nothing. Just neutral.
I had toxo when I was a kid, red bumps all over my body. Definitely not a good time while doctors were trying to figure out what was wrong with me and somehow I'm still a dog person.

And you obviously keep a clean house.😁
But also, we do be having kitty cat brain rot. :3
I think having kitty brain rot does a lot too LOL
On a serious note, toxoplasmosis is too weak for our immune system, so you just like cats very much. Or you need to check your smell senses.
