I like the growing discontent over modern technology. Not in the Luddite (I know, colloquially) sense but in the banality and lack of majesty that technology used to have
Technology used to be fun and exciting and now it's just black rectangles that want you to sign in (to siphon your data) and pay

I've better things to be doing with my time than going through a list of options that I'll reject anyway.
But then I pay my bills with coloured pieces of paper and bits of metal, so I'm already quite the Luddite
Or the musicians the Beatles spit in the face of when they brought the first synths to the studio in selfish defiance of the union.
Automation is antisocial.
Let’s get back to it!
The media has two functions: The Two Minute Hate to stir things up and as a constant background drone of meaningless data to pacify and dull the mind.
What you harken back to was effective marketing, not REAL.
It feels like the time when tech was being developed to actually be a quality of life improvement, not just to wring more money from us and make us miserable as hell
the bigger trashedy is that the internet made everyone think the only technology in the world is based on the internet.
The dangers of tech are almost 100% due to who is currently in charge of them and what their incentives are.
:Anything, you say?

:Brilliant, I'll have a massive concentration of wealth and control please.

Do NOT buy inkjet printers: they are scamming you, and in a way that should get their executives behind bars.

A little bit of chatter on social media is not very convincing frankly.
I truly think most companies hope we’ll be too committed, and thus held hostage.
