This is absolutely backwards. Young people stayed home because Dems were too busy campaigning with Liz Cheney to fight for things like universal healthcare, student loan forgiveness and other “lefty” causes that most people actually want

No doubt generational changes in leadership are important & necessary at appropriate time.
But this choice isn't only abt generational change, it is abt ideological. AOC is too far left, which contributed to 2024 Democrat loss. That requires reflection, not reward.
We need politics to moderate.

In any case, it's not happening again in our lifetimes---$150 billion got no significant traction politically.

wait
Meanwhile the left has been completely MIA on Biden’s like 600 moves on student loan forgiveness
AOC is a future president and w the likes of Bernie, the only hope this country has to 'actually' go back to greatness.

(Meanwhile if people really really understood in their bones that deflation is not a desirable response to inflation... oh our innumerate species. )
Made a post mentioning this, specifically to be quoted in threads like this. It's relevant every couple days or so, and ii don't follow many people.
If what the cheney "parading" wasted, it was mostly resources touting it when things like podcast/tuber appearances were more valuable.
I could see that case made for Gaza/Palestine supporters, but the cheney thing really is "politics junkie" territory to even make it on one's radar.
We either row in the same direction or we sink the boat.
Fuckin' A, even Jon Stewart was a drag on the Dems, from his first show proclamation that it doesn't matter who wins to his stanning for that dipshit comic at the MSG hate rally
If that's the case, they are about to understand that they participated in a regression election.
Recent polls showed that most Trump voters preferred Harris's policies.
Also Dems: *lose election*
Still Dems: “This is because we were too far left”
But yeah, hold out for that perfect pony.

Of course we put Schumer back in charge to be ineffective...that sucked
Look at the squad
Look at Bernie

And racist! Vice President Harris got a double whammy there.
DD works regardless of good or bad, right or wrong, because it projects confidence.
e.g. Repeat "defund the police", explain it using simple words, then double down against objections.
It's not a perfect heuristic, but 99/100 it's true.
If Democrats want to win, they would focus on *populist* solutions, not milquetoast ones
So yes, oppose the anti-democratic moves by the GOP, but frame it in different terms: eg, the wealthy using our government to enrich billionaire buddies vs making our tax money work for the people
Maybe racism? Tax cuts for billionaires?
