"Fight Club" being an inspirational text for the far right is like "Fortunate Son" and "Born in the USA" being perpetual parts of GOP political rallies. How dense are these people? They didn't notice Tyler Durden's toxicity became uncontrollable and the protagonist had to kill him to be free?

It's okay to miss this the first time. But right-wingers have watched it over and over and still never understood the movie.
it's not a weird sidenote, it's essential - the far right always operates on creating their own interpretation that has to be disconnected from reality.
if you have enough awareness to parse this out - chances are you won't be able to go as far.
