OMFG, the word Cheney doesn't appear on the home or front page of the Times today. A grand coalition in American democracy is forming. The #BrokenTimes is ignoring this momentous story--as well as good news for Harris. This is not news judgment. My view:

I’m not reading his comment as an “endorsement” of Harris, more of a dis-endorsement of Trump. I think they could go one step further; add that if there is EVER to be a functioning GOP, it must disengage from Trump. Wouldn’t that create a “permission structure” for Repubs to vote for Harris?

I agree with the historic importance of Chaney's endorsement.

I brought this up with a friend at coffee this morning and he quickly searched the NYT on his phone, finding an article on both Liz and Dick. Seemed to be filed under "politics". We couldn't tell if it ever graced the front/home page.
