Just want to add so I have this here - getting decimated with young, under $100k, Black and Latino voters are basically the results you’d expect from center right to more right positioning. The people who the system is working for voted for her. There really needs to be accountability.

I think harmful is a stretch. What potential Harris voter looks at Liz Cheney and thinks her support for Harris is a reason to vote Trump? As much as it sucks (and I realize it had to be Harris for so many good reasons), Walz or Kelly at the top of the ticket prob wins.

The funny thing is people have been talking about it for years now. Republicans long ago gave up the "woo the (mythical) center voter." They make no concessions to liberal, progressive, democratic "leftist" concerns, values, ideas. They try only to fire up their base. But Dems are still doing it.

It's hard to avoid the conclusion many top Democrats don't really support liberal values, ideas, beliefs; the party is still dominated by old timers operating in the "neoliberal" / conservative economic tradition who think they'll lose their base if they talk up liberal values too aggressively.

They really need a changing of the guard within the Democratic Party to people who understand liberal / progressive / democratic "leftist" critiques of bad economics in the conservative style, market utopianism, the flawed values, ethics, morals of conservatism, and want to talk about it.

Top Democrats need to look within, and if they don't really understand or accept liberal ideas, values, if they secretly side more with conservatives, Republicans, they should step aside gracefully. Those are survival mode tactics from when bad economics reigned supreme. We don't need that now.
