Very depressing Newsnight tonight. So Trump has killed the Great Republic and sided with Putin. The UK needs to rebuild our European alliances and weather this storm of lawless despotism.
PS the panel of failures and extremists made it more depressing still.
It’s his way of trying to restore some form of credibility. Ex Eton, likes talking but will always have the stench of the Truss debacle hanging over him.
Not really, he is on GMB all the time and LBC its amazing. MPs that fuck us all over are paraded by MSM as folk that know how to tell us how to live our lives. Proof if needed MSM are part of the problem.
I gave up on the new format the first time Nadine was on
I guess guests are paid (?) and it's a nonsense to have irrelevant people who have been utter failures in government. I heard a clip of E Curry in the last couple of months (R5?) and just turned it off
I think the answer might be "Kwarteng, despite crashing the economy, is the most remotely sane and intelligent person they can get who's still willing to be associated with the Tories, especially when compared to any other Tories on the media circuit."
Because it's newsnight. Because pretending to be balanced whilst giving air time to morons is what the BBC does best. It's why decent journalists don't work for them. It's why Emily Maitliss left.
I thought he spoke well tonight, not a fan of the Tories but KK was a refreshing change from other politicians recently, what I did admire though was the fabulous Victoria absolutely nailing the interview with the American woman who talked utter bilge.
Repeatedly ad nauseum... I know he probably can't get a job elsewhere, but if the beeb does have to have him on air they really should get him in the broom cupboard or something.. At least he has experience working with muppets.
He's managed to salvage some semblance of a career in the media, unlike Truss who has been reduced to sqwarking unhinged claptrap to increasingly extreme audiences while smiling gormlessly for the cameras.
The Tory party have been funded by right wing think tanks since before Boris, possibly before Brexit. Kwarteng did what he was told and I don’t think he was qualified to understand the pension deficit he created. He certainly isn’t responsible for his budget. Liz and her ERG clowns did that

Night, night.

It has been reduced to a chat show.
Was the topic, 'How best to serve lettuce'?
In the same time, the lady on the left said Trump “peace” deal and his presidency will be good for poor countries in the world.
The dude in the middle was reasonable.
The lady on the left made some Putin points.
And his then in command, Truss, an avid Trump supporter!
