Authors need to stand with artists by REFUSING to use AI content for promotion, illustrations, or cover images.
If you believe people should pay to read your book, then pay your fellow artists for their work.
Now, I just auto-block writer accounts using AI images.

I'm not sure if I would always recognize it.
I just see AI getting better and better, some pictures feel already like one would need to look really really close.
Not sure on the voice/audio side, if you do get an answer to that I'd love to know how to avoid too!
its theft regardless
I would never - probably never - create my own coverart - and never with ai - because that isn’t my passion, but short of asking - which I now do - are there telltale signs we can look for?
If you aren’t sure do you ask or just block?
Good thread 💫
That merely legitimises parrot tech.
Shun the creators and explain why.
The only exception is text-to-speech literal translation, because then at least the book is being told by the author and not a generative algorithm.
