So selfish and short sighted. Worse than maga. They knew the truth but remained cemented in their unrealistic thoughts that a progressive could win the moderate vote
The concerns people listed in the article were very reasonable. I think placing your blame on them for Harris losing, rather than on Harris's campaign, is incredibly misguided. As someone to voted for her, the people in this article made some very good points about why they chose not to.
Trump won less than 50% of the vote! Jill Stein is not around anymore, as she only shows up to elect Republicans. Also a lot of dems just stayed home. I think running around with war hawk, Chenny, discouraged dems. My opinion of course
Trump lost. That is, if all legal voters were allowed to vote, if all legal ballots were counted, Trump would have lost the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia.
This is why we need to spend more time with those that are undecided or otherwise not engaged instead of trying to change the minds of those who have already made up their minds
Exactly! Instead of coming to Pittsburgh several times, the dems should have been in these little podunk towns in the middle of the state. We knew how the cities were going to vote, win over the little towns
Trump lost. That is, if all legal voters were allowed to vote, if all legal ballots were counted, Trump would have lost the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia.

The arrogance oozes out of the pores of those who think they know everything. It's rather unattractive. Very Hollywood of you and you can see how that is working out for them.
What happens when the majority says you're wrong as they did in this election?
If I understand correctly, the uninformed voters are all MAGA & the informed voters are all Progressives. Which means that every last MAGA voter is either lowly educated, misinformed or just plain stupid. And, all Progressive Voters are well-read, highly educated & very smart. Do I have that right?
Dear Canadian firefighters: When you are done, on your way back home, could you stop in Michigan and take me with you and rescue me from the firestorm that is about to happen to the United States?
More like misinformed and manipulated voters than uninformed, they have been weaponized and we need to figure out a counter measure response. It is being done all over the world.
Well, I am certain MAGA voters aren’t the “informed” ones, but I am also pretty skeptical that voters who opted for the genocidal Democrats are any more “informed”, so I gotta say I just don’t really get the cartoon 🤷🏼♂️
I think a lot of the people siding with Musk Felon are doing it mostly out of spite without realizing the ramifications of Musk Felon actions affect them too... unless Musk Felon are doing a deep dive into voter rolls to see who voted RED so they can be saved from austerity measures and ID theft.
The House of Representatives can be the most determined voice of the American people in this moment, let's use it. Democrats need to flex all the muscle they can now this is the grip we need to save our country. Not to wait to fight! let's fighting now, this is our opportunity to stop this SHIT!
We should not hesitate in this moment in time, victory in the House begins survival of a democracy. This is the most powerful thing we can do now! We must use it to raise up the people's voice to get rid of this menace to democracy. The House of Representatives can be the most determined voice to USA
Shouldn't the uniformed voters be arming themselves with torches and pitchforks and rafts while the informed side is putting all of its resources into building a very gracious bridge that will never go more than halfway?
Being informed has gotten me nowhere; just heightened anxiety and forehead lines. I am striving to cross that chasm and be uninformed as a path back to happiness. Ignorance is bliss.
Sadly the population of informed voters is dwarfed by that of uninformed voters. And even a lot of Democrat voters are voting ignorantly and out of habit and don't really know or care anything about the issues.
When you alienate people because you disagree with them, you destroy any possibility of communication, understanding, and the discovery of common ground.

Nah. This was the last chance for hipsters to recognize that ‘both sides r teh same’ is a 20th century cry for help…or the motto of peasants expecting to lick whichever boot is walking on them today.
I don’t love the liberal elite - of which I am one - categorizing the folks who didn’t vote our way as “uninformed.” They are informed. Their life experience and media bubble has informed them. Our elite perspective is the river between us. Listen. Be humble. Folks are hurting.
Uninformed? Some. But many are disinformed by choice. They consciously reject facts and accept only that which reaffirms their already-held conclusions. It's spawned an entire industry.
I say this only because uninformed might become informed, but the disinformed are beyond redemption.
You can see this in action too. If you get a chance to talk to them about breaking news before the right has had time to fabricate a narrative, they don't know what to believe and will happily take on whatever they're told by anyone else.
Most recently, it happened with Luigi and the CEO
Many rightly contribute VP Kamala Harris loss to the right-wing media machine gaslighting an uninformed electorate.
Approx 30% eligible to vote, did not for a myriad of reasons. Some valid e.g. disabled and/or disabled, no transport, daycare, voter registrations thrown out, etc.
They still made the wrong call, but worst of them all are the political deal makers who keep doing what the oligarchs say in order to get slightly better kibble than the rest of us. Our system can only create shit candidates and shit light candidates.
I’m never listening to another word about decency or community from the ‘traditional’ folks who chose a comfortable retirement over baseline human dignity.
Nah. They’re the dirt propping up the uninformed side. For every (understandably) exhausted citizen who wants more balance there are ten peasants who want someone else to take all the risk/blame.
That’s a very Jim Crow opinion to have. Literacy tests are unconstitutional for good reason. Looks like you’d fail a test on constitutional law and history. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Literacy_test
We're not talking literacy here, we're talking democracy. Jefferson said democracy requires and informed public. How can we sustain democracy if voters have no idea how their government works? We don't teach civics, or history, or ethics. Education is simply about creating dumb, compliant workers.

Hey Mike,

Thanks.

They're quite informed if you count disinformation and propaganda.
They have just as much of it as we have facts.
Just went on Twitter to see what they were saying about Carter. Truly nasty pieces of work. Spewing lies like it's gospel
My comment was not directed at anyone in particular, and it was meant to support yours.

1) Informed voters
2) Misinformed voters
3) Uninformed voters
Informed voters are the most likely to be the disillusioned registered voters who chose to not participate (e.g., Uncommitted).
